SAN FERMINNNNNNNN

Back in Madrid from what was unquestionably the some of the 3 most absurd nights of our entire lives

San Fermin, the running of the bulls, basically turns the city of pamplona into an unimaginable fiesta. every street, every corner, every where you can look people are just partying and having a good time. This of course makes for 24/7 entertainment while being there

We ran the first and second days of the encierro heres the video of the first day

FIRST DAY


Each day is full of wild ass events (giant relgious figure parade, concerts, stone lifting, fireworks etc..), but the main thing of course is the Encenierro, basically the moving of the Bulls from their pens outside the "old" city, through the narrow streets and into the bull ring where they are then penned up until they are slain in a bull fight. Tens of thousands of people are wearing the San Fermin gear which is white capris, white shirts, and red scarves and belts.

So the run officially starts every day at 8am but it is more or less a continuation of the previous nights debauchery. Many people dont sleep, espcialy during the night... If you are like us and didnt have a hotel room you slept in the park.... I only wish I could post the pictures of our sleeping quarters.. Basically card board boxes on the grass.... They will come up soon.
Second Day

The run is a massive adrenaline rush.... The bulls are BIG and somewhat scary, running into the staidum is a good feeling... words really don't explain the festival very well... its a shit show..

Highlights include-
Spain game on the 8th...madness
Homless box forts
Gypsys cuddling with you in homless box forts, searching through your pockets for goodies...
People passed out in the middle of plazas and streets everywhere
Watching dude get his shit kicked out of him by bull in the bull ring... HE lived but was unconcious
Fucking up a camara becuase a bull charged towards us in the ring and we had to move....
Frenchman bleading out of his head with a hole in his pants from a horn, yelling at the police to let him back in the ring....
Colombian dude giving people drugs
Ryan getting robbed of his Glasses by Gypsys while he was sleeping one afternoon
Italian 10 year old calling people faggots, flipping us off for not giving him coca cola, and making obscene gestures towards women and old people
Aussies in general... just crazy people
Don Simon boxed wine... .70 euro for the litro


Anyhow overall it was incredible, back in Madrid now.. ryan will be leaving us and mike and colin will be moving around a bit more till the 17th
